Our story
Your town.
Your customers.
Our systems.
We are the full back office local service businesses never had — marketing, operations, communications, and follow-up — delivered by a local team, for less than the cost of one employee.
About The Local Factor
We started The Local Factor because we kept seeing the same thing: great local businesses losing customers not because of the work they do, but because of systems they did not have time to build.
A plumber who does not respond to a lead within the hour loses that job to whoever does. A contractor with 4 stars and 12 reviews loses the estimate to a competitor with 4.3 stars and 180. An HVAC company doing excellent work stays invisible on Google while a franchise with a bigger budget takes the neighborhood.
That is not a skill problem. It is a systems problem. And it is fixable.
Why The Local Factor exists
Small service businesses are the backbone of the local economy. The plumber, the landscaper, the HVAC company — they employ local people, pay local taxes, and build local wealth. But they run without the infrastructure that bigger companies take for granted. No marketing manager. No office manager. No systems person. No one answering the phones when the owner is on a job.
TLF exists to close that gap. We are the team small businesses cannot hire yet — until they can. We step in as the full back office: answering calls, building the systems, handling the follow-up, keeping them visible on Google. We do it for less than the cost of one employee.
When a client grows under TLF management, that growth eventually means the owner hires their own people — a receptionist, an office manager, a marketing coordinator. That is the goal. TLF's success is measured in client growth.
Based here. Staffed here.
We are based in Rolesville, NC — right here in Wake County. We hire locally first. Our contractors are US-based, and when possible, right here in Wake County and the surrounding Triangle area. That means faster communication, local market knowledge, and real accountability.
Wake County is growing fast. Rolesville, Wake Forest, Zebulon, Knightdale, Apex — small business owners here are competing against franchises and chains with real marketing budgets. We level that playing field with smarter systems, not bigger spend.
